People won't give attention to follow our blog because everyone will only give attention to read our blog posts... Some people may give....
So I will say a method to make that follow button into a small link...

Go to your Blog and click the follow button yourself...
One page will appear everyone know that...

Copy that page's link...

Then share the link to your best friend...
Your friend must be a person who reads your blog...
Make sure your friend as been signed in to the browser so only he can follow...

And if your friend click the shared link, this what appears👇... And now he can easily follow...
